Chamberlain was born May 27, 1967 in Gary, Indiana. He has always had a fascination with nature and the landscape. When Chamberlain was growing up, his family never traveled to the western US. He longed to see the mountains and the western landscape.
After two years of college at Purdue
University, majoring in Physics, Chamberlain decided that it was time for a
change in his life. In 1988, he moved to Tucson, Arizona. A month later, he
moved to Phoenix. Although, he had been interested in photography since the age
of 9, this was when his interest began to grow. Chamberlain traveled all over
the state taking pictures. In 1991, he moved to southern California. It was in
1996 when he began to seriously consider photography as a way to make a living.
Chamberlain had his first picture published on a postcard. It was a picture of
the Hollywood Sign. Since then, he has had more pictures published and has sold
many photographs to individuals for display in their homes and
offices.
Chamberlain is currently shooting with a Canon 350D, which is an 8 megapixel
digital SLR camera and a Canon 10D, which is a 6 megapixel digital SLR camera.
He also has a Mamiya 645 Pro medium format film camera, but he now prefers
digital. All images on this website were taken with the Canon 350D, however,
there are a few images in the original
Western Light Gallery that were
taken with the Mamiya 645.
I would like to give special thanks to all of my customers who have supported me as a photographer by buying my work over the years.
